Scholarships

Our college is committed to supporting students through various Government Scholarship Schemes to ensure that financial constraints do not become a barrier to quality education. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by the Government of India and the Government of Punjab to support their academic journey.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Scholarship

Dr.Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students in Punjab, it is administered through the Punjab Department of Social Justice/SC & BC Welfare. Punjab Government lists “Post Matric Scholarship to SC” as an official service.

Eligibility Requirements

For the Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students in Punjab, the main eligibility conditions are:
  • SC category:
Student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and have a valid SC caste certificate.
  • Punjab eligibility:
For the Punjab scheme, the student generally needs to meet the applicable Punjab domicile/residence requirements.
  • Scholarship restrictions:
A student generally cannot receive another scholarship for the same purpose/period if the scheme rules prohibit simultaneous benefits.
  • Recognized institution:
The student must be enrolled in an eligible course at a recognized/approved institution.
  • Previous qualification:
The student should have passed the qualifying examination required for admission to the current course.
  • Bank account:
Student should have a valid bank account for scholarship payment/DBT, with correct Aadhaar and bank details where required.
  • Family income:
The scholarship has an annual family-income ceiling. The commonly applicable SC Post-Matric scheme ceiling is ₹2.50 lakh per year, but the income limit and implementation should be checked against the current 2026–27 notification before final verification.
  • Post-Matric course:
The student must be studying after Class 12, such as at:
  • Rattan Professional Education College of Nursing
  • Rattan College of Law
  • Rattan Professional Education College of Paramedical Sciences
  • Rattan Professional Education College
  • Rattan Professional Education College of D- Pharmacy

Document Checklist

  • Student Aadhaar Card
  • SC Caste Certificate
  • Previous Class/Year Marksheet
  • Punjab Domicile / Residence Certificate, where applicable
  • Current Parent Income Certificate
  • Student's signature
  • Student's Bank Passbook / Bank Account details (Account number, IFSC, Bank and branch)
  • Current Admission/Bonafide Certificate from college
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Parent/Guardian declaration/undertaking
  • Scholarship application/form verified by the Head of Institution
  • Aadhaar-linked mobile number, if required for authentication
  • Fee Receipt
Note: Any other document requested by the scholarship portal/institution during verification

National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is the Government of India’s single online platform for applying for various central and centrally sponsored scholarships. It handles student application, verification, sanction and scholarship processing.

Eligibility depends on the particular scholarship scheme. NSP includes scholarships for different categories.

  • SC students
  • ST students
  • Minority students

  • Aadhaar Card
  • OTR ID
  • Mobile number
  • Passport-size photograph
  • SC/ST/OBC/other applicable caste certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Domicile/residence certificate, where applicable
  • Previous examination marksheet
  • Current admission/bonafide certificate
  • Fee receipt
  • Bank account/passbook
  • Bank IFSC
  • Disability certificate, if applicable
  • Minority certificate/ declaration, if applicable
